Bountiful Year for Volleyball Teams – Inter-School & ISF World Competitions

Our courts this season were like a proving ground – where grit and belief turned practice into possibility. To every player in our A, B, and C Grades volleyball teams: congratulations!  What they’ve earned isn’t just a place on a podium. It’s a personal breakthrough – earned quietly, then shone through brightly.

Inter-School Volleyball Competitions (Division 1)

In the Inter-School Volleyball Competitions (Division 1), resilience was reflected in every rally:

  • Boys Overall: 3rd runner-up
  • A Grade: 3rd runner-up
  • B Grade: 3rd runner-up
  • C Grade: 5th

These results are particularly meaningful to our homegrown athletes – students shaped by our WYK community, coached with care – and fought all the way from their humble beginnings in Division 2 when they were in Form 1 to regaining foothold in Division 1 within six years.

Then came the moment that turns growth into impact.

ISF World School Volleyball Championship 2026

At the ISF World School Volleyball Championship 2026, our A Grade boy, Oscar NG of 4J, was shortlisted as part of Team Hong Kong.  In July 2026, he will be on his journey to Shangluo, China, and represent Hong Kong against teams from around 30 countries and regions.

For Oscar – and for every teammate behind him – this is what resilience looks like: not a single perfect game, but a steady willingness to get back up, try again, and become a better version of themselves day by day.
